Search less. Buy better.
byclaw is an AI shopping agent that does the work for you. Tell it what you need — on WhatsApp, inside Claude or ChatGPT via MCP, or on the web — and it searches thousands of products, compares prices and recommends the best match. Put something on your watchlist and your agent pings you when the price drops.
The Challenge
Online shopping still means twenty open tabs: comparing prices, reading reviews, checking shops. At the same time, more and more people ask AI assistants what to buy — but those assistants can’t see live prices or real product catalogs, and they happily recommend products that don’t exist. Merchants, meanwhile, have no way to reach this new kind of shopper. The question we set out to answer: what does a shop look like when the customer is an AI agent?
“Everyone says AI will soon do our shopping. We wanted to know what the shop for that looks like. byclaw is our answer.”
The Solution
We built byclaw as an agent-first shop. A search service combines an Elasticsearch catalog fed by affiliate networks with a web fallback. Claude turns every request into search terms, filters by relevance and picks the best match — and a hallucination guard only lets real, linkable products through. Five agent personalities — Dealmaker, Luxpicker, Smartpicker, Vibechecker and Giftfinder — decide how to weigh price, quality and taste, but the user’s intent always wins. The agent lives where people already are: a WhatsApp bot, an MCP server that runs the full search-compare-recommend flow in a single tool call for Claude and ChatGPT, and the web. Watchlists keep an eye on prices and notify on drops. A live feed shows what agents are doing right now.

The Impact
byclaw shows what commerce looks like when agents do the shopping: one request, one recommendation, a direct link to the shop — no tabs, no comparison marathon. The platform is live on WhatsApp, MCP and the web, with five agent personalities and a catalog that syncs daily from affiliate feeds. We’re looking for partners who want to take byclaw further with us.
